Biosecurity Incident Public Information Manual (BIPIM)

The Biosecurity Incident Public Information Manual provides information on how public information should be operationalised and resourced during a biosecurity incident and managed and updated through the National Biosecurity Communicaton and Engagement Network (NBCEN). The NBCEN comprises agricultural health organisations and communication managers from Commonwealth, state and territory agencies responsible for biosecurity.

The Manual is split into four parts:

  • Public Information policy
  • Public Information operations
  • Job cards
  • Templates and forms

The Manual and its parts are currently hosted by Animal Health Australia

The BIPIM was originally created in April 2014 and have been reviewed in 2018. It is currently in the process of being reviewed by a working group of the National Biosecurity Communications and Engagement Network (NBCEN), if any questions or comments on this please email nbcensecretariat@aff.gov.au
