Report highlights for 2024 include:
- Strengthening national preparedness — detailed accounts of national exercises like Exercise Volare, FlyWheel and Black Tiger, aimed at testing and improving Australia’s national preparedness and response capabilities.
- Advancing national animal health initiatives — information on the launch of the National Biosecurity Strategy Action Plan and progress on the Animalplan 2022-27 and AQUAPLAN 2022-27
- Advancing One Health to strengthen public health and disease control — insights into Australia’s Animal Antimicrobial Resistance Action Plan and establishment of the interim Australian Centre for Disease Control.
