FAQs
Why is AHA changing its online training system?
After a review of AHA’s current and future training needs, we decided to move to a learning management system that better supports members and learners over the long term. The new system, Acorn, provides a more stable, cost‑effective and modern platform for delivering online training.
What benefits does Acorns deliver?
Acorn will provide improved usability, better performance across devices and browsers, and greater reliability. It also better supports both routine training delivery and periods of increased demand, such as during emergency animal disease responses.
When does BOLT close?
BOLT will close on 30 June 2026 and will not be accessible after this date.
When do I need to complete my courses?
All courses must be completed by 20 June 2026 to allow time for records to finalise.
What happens if I don’t finish a course?
Any unfinished courses will be lost and will not transfer to the new system.
Do I need to download my certificates?
Yes. You should download all certificates and training records you may need before 30 June 2026. Records not downloaded cannot be retrieved later, except for limited EAD course records listed below.
What training records will AHA keep?
AHA will retain the past two years of records for selected emergency animal disease (EAD) courses only, including:
- EAD Foundation Skills
- Liaison Livestock Industry
All other course records and certificates will not be accessible after BOLT closes.
Will my BOLT login transfer to Acorn?
No. You will need to create a new login for Acorn.
When does the new system start?
Acorn LMS will be available from 1 July 2026.
