National Management Group (NMG) Training Exercise

National Management Group (NMG) training is targeted at high-level industry and government members who have the authority to make financial commitments to a cost-shared EAD response. These include Chief Executive Officers and presidents (or equivalent) and their advisors.

Having completed the training, personnel who represent their agency or organisation should:

  • be prepared to participate as (or advise and support) a member of the NMG
  • understand their respective roles and responsibilities as signatories to the EADRA.

How to register

Registrations are now open and will close Friday 6 February. To register, discuss attendance with your peak industry body or government agency.

About the NMG

The NMG is the peak decision-making body for cost-shared responses to animal health emergencies in Australia.

During an emergency animal disease response (EAD), the NMG is responsible for managing the national policy and resourcing needs of the response and determines whether cost-sharing arrangements under the Emergency Animal Disease Response Agreement (EADRA) will be activated.

NMG only convene should an Emergency Animal Disease Response Plan recommended by the Consultative Committee on Emergency Animal Diseases (CCEAD) contain cost-sharing.
