When an emergency animal disease (EAD) strikes, the goat industry must be ready to respond fast, effectively, and in coordination with government.
Industry representatives play a vital role in these responses, providing real-time insights, advocating for their sector, and helping protect animal health and business continuity.
LLI awareness webinar
Animal Health Australia (AHA) and the Goat Industry Council Australia (GICA) are hosting a goat sector specific Liaison – Livestock Industry (LLI) awareness webinar on 14 October 2026 to strengthen this critical capability.
The webinar is designed for anyone in the goat supply chain — producers, transporters, processors, agents, or anyone interested in strengthening industry resilience.
This webinar will cover:
- How national response arrangements operate
- What happens in the first 72 hours of a response
- The role and responsibilities of an LLI
- The skills and attributes needed to represent the goat industry as an LLI
- How LLIs connect with GICA and government during a response
