- emergency animal diseases
- ewe mortality
- parasitology and anthelmintic resistance
- antimicrobial resistance
- animal welfare
- flystrike.
Each session concluded with meaningful discussions that focused on strengthening resilience across sheep industries amid changing global pressures.
AHA in action
AHA presented an update on the National Sheep Health Monitoring Project (NSHMP). This ongoing abattoir surveillance program supports productivity across the sheep value chain by providing producers with actionable feedback on their flock health.
Together with WoolProducers Australia and Sheep Producers Australia, AHA also supported an industry panel of producers and veterinary consultants. This showcased the critical role of vets in delivering tailored, expert advice on disease management, nutrition and flock health to support producers and their sheep or wool enterprises.
