Goat Industry Council of Australia – Liaison Livestock Industry (LLI) Awareness Webinar
Animal Health Australia (AHA) and the Goat Industry Council of Australia (GICA) are proud to deliver the GICA LLI Network Project. The project aims to boost the capacity of the sector to provide LLI’s across regional goat production areas and commodity types in Australia, strengthening Australia’s emergency animal disease (EAD) preparedness.
The first phase of the project will include the delivery of an LLI awareness webinar – a short, interactive online session introducing participants to the LLI role and how emergency responses work.
This webinar will cover:
- How national response arrangements operate
- What happens in the first 72 hours of a response
- The role and responsibilities of an LLI
- The skills and attributes needed to represent the goat industry as an LLI
- How LLIs connect with GICA and government during a response
The webinar is designed for anyone in the goat supply chain — producers, transporters, processors, agents, or anyone interested in strengthening industry resilience.
